Investment Consulting

ERISA requires plan sponsors to put participants’ interests first with the exclusive purpose of providing retirement benefits to them. Selecting and regularly reviewing investments are important fiduciary acts.

Alliant Wealth Advisors helps companies offer participants better plan investments as well as professional investment management so that participants are optimally invested to achieve their retirement goals.

  • The US Department of Labor requires all plans to have a prudent policy and to follow it consistently as they select and monitor plan investments. Alliant helps youmeet this standard as we provide an Investment Policy Statement for your adoption.
  • We access the universe of funds for our retirement plans. As a Registered Investment Advisor, we do not represent – nor are we compensated – by any proprietary fund platform. We make available investments from the lower fee institutional marketplace.
  • Alliant constructs and manages model investment portfolios with a range of risk and return strategies. Our portfolios have a more-than-10-year track record of performance. We guide participants individually in selecting the portfolio that fits their personal objectives.
  • Alliant reduces your potential liability for investment decisions as we act in a fiduciary capacity. We even accept delegation from you to serve as your plan’s Fiduciary Investment Manager, acting as what is commonly called an ERISA 3(38) advisor. When you choose to have us represent you in this way, we agree to replace you in having potential liability for plan investments as we select and monitor all funds.
  • We employ the best practice of monitoring all plan investments at least quarterly. During the volatile months at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Alliant stepped up our monitoring to deliver value to our retirement plans. When we serve as your 3(38) advisor, we most efficiently manage plan investments, replacing them when strategically required.
  • Alliant manages your annual Investment Committee meeting, taking minutes and documenting your firm’s compliance with your plan’s Investment Policy Statement.
